Born in 1962, Tessa grew up on the outskirts of Barcelona, in one of the many satellite cities then inhabited by southern immigrants. In the 1980s, she co-founded and worked in a cooperative dedicated to the production of ceramic pieces and supplies, where she acquired solid technical experience — the craft, the rhythm, the matter.
More than twenty-five years after those beginnings, she returns to earthly materials. This time, with an artistic focus: that which she had always wanted to do, that which was already there.
Tessa has exhibited in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat and in Barcelona, and some of her pieces have traveled far — to Australia, Berlin, Montpellier, Frankfurt, California, and New York — as if the earth also knows how to move.
